Robotics in Your Classroom? Why Not!

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Learn how to incorporate critical thinking, teamwork, conflict resolution, and communication through the use of robotics in the classroom, while incorporating NGSS and STEM initiatives. This session will focus on the use of the Lego Mindstorm Robots EV3 kits, however the same principles, ideas, and technology will apply for the NXT kits. The main goal is to show how to use these resources not just in science, but in all content areas to activate true student-centered learning.

Participants can select to receive a new Mindstorms EV3 kit or bring their own EV3 or NXT kits.

Please bring a laptop, as well as an appropriate handheld device. This device could be an android, or iphone, ipad, or android based tablet with Bluetooth capabilities to communicate with the robot. I will email you in advance so you can download the appropriate (free) software.
