Our academy creates a “school within a school” environment for students interested in math and science. This program cooperates with local business and higher education to create opportunities for students to explore their passions. Students are grouped by interest in our weekly advisory time, they are also required to attend guest lectures, complete an internship and design an independent project. Our goal is develop innovative thinkers who continue in STEM education after high school.
I'm creating places at my school where students have access to the tools they need to be successful. I believe these tools are changing all the time and I'm always learning about how to use the best ones possible.
