Kathleen McClaskey (@khmmc) is CEO and Co-Founder of Personalize Learning, LLC, and co-author of bestseller, Make Learning Personal (2014) and How to Personalize Learning (2016). Kathleen received her MEd in Technology in Education in 1988 from Lesley College. In her professional career she has been a technology integration specialist, K-12 Technology Director, professional developer, and Universal Design for Learning (UDL) consultant with over 30 years experience in creating learner-centered environments and in training teachers in how to empower learners with tools, apps, and learning skills so they become independent self-directed learners. Kathleen was an early adopter of UDL. Starting in 2002, she designed and instructed graduate courses on UDL at Cambridge College and Plymouth State University. From 2003 to 2011, she designed and directed seven multi-year state projects using UDL as the framework in math, science, literacy, and autism. Since 2012, Kathleen is a frequent presenter on Using the UDL Lens to Personalize Learning. She has presented on UDL at ISTE Conferences since 2002, the UDL-IRN Conference, and UDL Symposium.
